This photo is taken in Pashupati nat, a Hindu holy place in Katmandu. In this fire there is actually a dead body being cremated in the open. These altars were lined up along the river side where the ashes were shoved in after the body had been burnt and people walked in the river to collect any valuable jewellery that might have been on the person.
